School Representatives |
Each school should elect one of its members to act as the School Representative. They are a vital link in the chain between the National and Local officers of the NUT.
Each school should have its own NUT notice board in the staff room . Make sure you read it regularly !
Your school representative will have a great deal of information which may be of use to you. He/She is your first point of contact for any query you may have.
Apart from the NUT News and posters giving information about local meetings
your school Rep. also has a Resource pack containing information under the
following headings:
The Union has just produced a small pocket sized folded card relating to
10 Proposals to improve your conditions.
The proposals relate to :-
Class size
Cover for absence
Teacher Support Time
Parents' Meetings
Needs of the School
Mid Session Break
Lunch Break
Evening Meetings
In Service Education
Secondment

The Union has just produced official cards for all school Health and Safety
representatives. Would school reps therefore please contact the Secretary,
Marion Wilson on 01277 626321 with the name of your H&S representative
and I will send the card to him or her. Alternatively write to her at 25
